Despite a tough loss to the Buffalo Bills, Sunday was certainly a great day for Dan Skipper.
The Detroit Lions offensive lineman has been getting more and more attention lately for stepping up whenever and wherever needed. Fans just loved this clip from Dan Campbell’s postgame locker room speech after the Thanksgiving win, in which Skipper’s head is in a bucket.
Ahead of the Bills matchup, FOX 2’s Jennifer Hammond sat down with Dan and wife Mackenzie to talk about balancing life and football. That’s where they revealed Mackenzie was scheduled to be induced right after the Bills game this past Sunday.
It would just so happen that on that very same day, Skipper caught a pass from Jared Goff and scored his first career touchdown, bulldozing a defensive back along the way.
Mackenzie posted a picture of the new baby girl on Monday night and she is cute as a button.
It’s been a rough go of things lately for the Lions and all of us who love them, so hopefully Skipper’s big day makes you feel a little better.

And onto the rest of your notes.

- Dan Campbell was fired up when joining 97.1 The Ticket earlier and gave maybe one of his best quotes.
- Didn’t think I’d read a follow up about the Lions fan who got into with Packers coach Matt LaFleur and end up crying but here we are. Masterful writing from The Athletic’s Brendan Quinn. ($)
- ‘Tis the season. I love Lions fans.
- While we love Roary, here’s an interesting story about a woman whose ancestors were the Lions’ first mascots.
- The outcome may not have been ideal, but here’s some fun stuff from game day.
